Most people want to help. We make it easy to say yes.
Our mission is to make helping your neighbors simple, safe, and specific, so that fewer seniors sit alone, fewer kids go hungry on the weekend, and no one waits too long for a hand.
Why we started
Every town is full of people who would gladly give an hour. Every town also has organizations stretched thin, trying to visit lonely seniors, stock pantry shelves, feed kids over the weekend, and keep shelters supplied. The two rarely find each other at the right moment.
The problem isn't generosity. It's that "volunteering" often means a big commitment, a vague role, or a sign-up sheet nobody answers. Meanwhile the asks that matter most are small and specific: a visit on Tuesday, a ride on Thursday, a few bags packed by Friday.
Do A Good brings those small asks to the people nearby who are ready to help, with the care that vulnerable people deserve. We're starting in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
The principles we build on
Dignity first
People receiving help are neighbors, not cases. We won't put their stories or photos on display to make anyone feel good.
Private by default
We share the least information needed to get help where it's going, and only with people who have been confirmed.
Safety isn't optional
Verified organizations, background checks for sensitive needs, and clear rules. We'd rather grow slowly than cut corners.
Local, one town at a time
We start where we can build real relationships with the organizations that already know their community best.
A company with a mission, and a business model you can see
Do A Good is a for-profit company built to last. Being honest about how we make money is part of earning your trust.
- Employers
- Companies pay us to give their teams easy, local ways to volunteer.
- Organizations
- Organizations can choose plans with tools for their teams.
- Never people in need
- People receiving help never pay, never see ads, and never have their information sold.
